Motorbikes/4WD on the Tracks

The Alresford Drive (west of its junction with Westhill road North) and the Ox Drove/Lower Road previously RUPPs, are now Restricted Byways. This means that except for legitimate access to private dwellings/land, the use of the byways by motorised vehicles is illegal, so no mini motorbikes, mopeds, motorcycles, cars, vans, lorries.

Click HERE for the full details on the Hampshire County Council Website.

The Police have been asked to step up enforcement of this restriction. If you see any vehicles illegally using the footpaths, bridleways or restricted byways then take the registration number (if there is one) and report it along with details of day, time, place, vehicle/bike description, to the Police on 0845 045 45 45.

As the tracks are classed as public highway, any vehicle legitimately using them must be insured, taxed, MOT'd (if old enough) and the driver fully licensed.
