Olivers Battery Countryside Group

We are a conservation volunteer group in Oliver's Battery, Winchester, Hampshire.

Our aim is to 'Conserve, sustain and enhance the natural landscape and wildlife of Oliver's Battery Parish'. To this end we carry out practical conservation work and also organise 'fun' events to involve local people.

A brownie pack for girls aged 7 - 10, meeting on Tuesdays in term time from 17.45 to 19.15 at St Mark's Church.

Aims and objectives: A volunteer care team, happy to give neighbourly assistance to people in the Olivers Battery area. A responsive group responding to day by day requests.

Services and activities offered: Shopping, collecting prescriptions, visiting the housebound, walking the dog, changing a light bulb, emergency meals, collecting library books and similar one off errands

Restrictions: Within Olivers Battery Area,

Special needs catered for: We refer special needs to a more appropriate organisation.

Times: Available to call from 0800-2000 Daily

Poppies


Sing Winchester

Sing Winchester is an a cappella world music choir which started in January 2009. They sing folk songs from around the world, usually in 3 or 4-part harmony and in their original language.

They meet at St. Mark's Church every Friday, during school term time, from 7 to 9pm. New members are always welcome; no auditions required.




Wessex Quiltmakers

Wessex Quiltmakers meet at St. Mark’s Church on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month except August. The start time is 7.30 pm and they usually finish at 9.30 pm
